Front of House officer


My client is currently looking for 2 part time front of house officers to join their team one part time at 18 hours (8:30am – 2:30pm) and another at 5.5 hours per week (2:30pm – 8:30pm)

This is a temporary role until the end of July for the moment with the likeliness to extend further at the rate of £14.50 umbrella an hour

With your skills you will ideally have worked with young people, please see the responsibilities below;

To provide a welcoming service to all users of the organisation and to support their ethos and vision to inspire young people and provide creative opportunities
Welcome and sign in all external visitors including young people, volunteers, partners, staff and clients hiring the space. Issuing membership cards, ID cards and access control cards appropriately.
To support the Operations team and evening youth work team in their work.
Keep up to date records of young people’s membership, bookings and attendance on an online database system.Main Duties and Responsibilities

Front Desk

Welcome all visitors, young people, contractors and partners to the organisation
Make sure that all young people, volunteers, partners and visitors sign in at front desk
Direct partners, contractors, and visitors appropriately around the building, making sure that safeguarding processes are followed
Answer general queries face to face and over the phone
Pass queries on to the relevant member of staff and take accurate messages when member of staff is not available
Issue access passes to volunteers, contractors and partners and keep an accurate log, alert colleagues to any access passes missing
Ensure the front desk, store cupboard leaflets are kept tidy and presentable at all times
Issue keys to staff and contractors and keep an accurate log
Log all post and lost property
To follow data protection policies and to ensure all young people’s data is secure at all timesSupporting the Daytime and Youth Work Team

Support the Operations Manager in delivering excellent customer service to clients hiring the space during the day
To ensure the café space is presented well and appropriately laid out for either the daytime public café service or the evening youth service
Support the youth work team by making sure that young people are aware of and follow the Rules
Refer any young people who are causing problems to a member of the youth work team
Support the youth work team to make sure that any banned young people are not allowed into the building
To support good safeguarding practice in accordance with safeguarding procedures and alert the Youth Worker in Charge to any child protection concerns/issuesIf your skills match the above please send through your updated CV. Deadline for CVs is 10th June 2021
